An exciting opportunity has arisen within the business for a Purchasing Assistant who will be providing support to the Purchasing Manager.
Location: Golborne, Cheshire
Your Tasks:
- Creation and updating of purchase orders
- Dealing with general queries on product and pricing
- Administrative tasks required for the effective operation of the Purchasing Department
- Ensuring suppliers deliver to agreed timescales
- Managing replenishment levels to ensure efficient delivery of products to customers
- Liaising effectively with external suppliers and colleagues at all levels
- Manage existing accounts and potential new accounts to ensure best price and terms and conditions are achieved
What you bring to the Table:
- Competent with Microsoft office/outlook
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy
- Have a flexible approach to a wide range of tasks
- Must be proactive with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Have Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs
- Has a strong administrative background, ideally within a purchasing function
- Hours of work at 9 am – 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am – 4 pm Friday (34 hours)
- 25 days of holiday (plus bank holidays)
