Position: (Junior) Health & Safety Advisor

As a Health & Safety Coordinator/Advisor onsite in London, you are responsible for the management, delivery, and profitability of all health and safety requirements across a large portfolio of high-profile corporate organisations (e.g. Investment Banking entities).

Role Purpose:

Working in an embedded team to deliver H&S services to the client aligned to their 45001 Management System.

  • Responding to H&S queries.
  • Maintaining the accidents and incident database and associated records.
  • Producing monthly management information reports for areas of responsibility

Tasks:

  • Portfolio compliance risk assessment (Health, Safety, Fire, Water, Asbestos etc.) planning and management (proactive and reactive).
  • To support regional offices with ad hoc and proactive advice and guidance.
  • Develop and document H&S requirements.
  • Corrective actions management and reporting.
  • Accident recording and leading on accident investigations (minor).
  • Creation of risk assessments for corporate events (on and offsite).
  • Management system administration (document control, local implementation).
  • Regular operational global performance reporting/statistics collation etc.
  • Online and face-to-face training management including EHS Induction.
  • Opportunity to support wider GLOBAL EHS team as required.

From time to time, you may be asked to undertake reasonable tasks not stated within this role profile but commensurate with the profile.

Technical and Customer Excellence:

Candidate requirements include:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Member of IOSH.
  • 2-3 years of previous experience in a similar role (preferably in a corporate office environment).
  • Experience with the preparation and implementation of recognised management systems such as OHSAS 45001 / ISO 14001 (desirable).
  • Strong administrative abilities (planning, managing documents, reports writing, collating and manipulating data).

  • Proven technical knowledge and understanding.
  • Comfortable operating independently on behalf of EDP within an external environment.
  • Excellent customer service manner, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with clients and colleagues.
