Position: Sales Manager - Government, Defence, Enterprise Market
About the Role: We are seeking an ambitious and committed Sales Manager to join the Norwegian office, focussing on expanding the presence in the defence, government, and enterprise markets.
This role is pivotal in developing relationships with Norwegian customers and seeking new opportunities in satellite communications and information services. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the company's growth by leveraging your sales experience and market knowledge to drive business development and secure new contracts.
Client: Our client provides satellite and radio communication services, offering secure and high-quality voice and data services worldwide, regardless of location or time. It also delivers customized system solutions tailored to specific customer needs.
The organization operates across several countries, including Several European countries, Singapore, and the USA, employing approximately 250 people globally.

Location: Fornebu, Oslo, Norway+ up to 6 Days/Month Remote
What You´ll Do:
- Understand the Norwegian market, identify and prioritize potential customers, and develop strategies to win their business.
- Maximize growth opportunities and ensure alignment with the company’s objectives.
- Engage with key targets in Norway, including NDMA, NDLO, Special Forces, Army, Land and Maritime organizations, Other Government Departments (e.g., Home Defence, MoFA, Crisis Response, and First Responders), and Critical National Infrastructure.
- Explore other markets in Sweden (e.g., FMV, Coastguard, Home Defence, MoFA, and Critical National Infrastructure), Finland, and other regions to scope business relationships.
- Support the Defence and Government Sales Team with relevant expertise and knowledge.
- Customer Development:
Maintain and grow existing Norwegian and Swedish accounts.- Identify new accounts and establish business relationships.
- Capture customer requirements to influence and align with future product and service developments.
Sales & Market Activities:- Provide prompt and professional sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and on-time delivery.
- Participate in the preparation of quotations, bids, and RFPs.
- Attend relevant marketing events and customer meetings as needed.
- Order and Service Management:
- Handle sales orders, ensuring a smooth process from initiation to completion.
- Manage multi-million-pound contracts, projects, and budgets.
Collaboration: - Work closely with internal departments such as Logistics, Marketing, and Finance.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and the Norwegian Defence & Government Sales Team.
What We´ll Expect:
- Experience:
- Proven track record in sales, particularly within satellite communications, information services, or related industries.
- Experience in Defence or Government sectors is essential (e.g., background in the Forces or selling to these markets).
- Skills & Expertise:
- Strong market understanding of Norway, with knowledge of Sweden or Finland being an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage customers via telephone, email, and face-to-face.
- Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of SatCom basics.
- Other Qualities:
- Highly self-motivated, capable of working independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Presentational skills and the ability to lead customer meetings confidently.
