About the role: We are looking for a seasoned HR Director to join a leading name in the heavy manufacturing sector.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all facets of HR, including employee relations, talent acquisition, retention, compensation, benefits, and compliance. The ideal candidate must bring significant hands-on experience from the manufacturing domain and demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing large workforces.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead HR strategy and execution across employee lifecycle (recruitment, engagement, development, retention).
Oversee compensation, benefits, performance, and disciplinary frameworks.
Partner with business leaders to align HR practices with organisational goals.
Manage a team of 8–10 salaried HR professionals.
Design and implement policies and initiatives to support a workforce of 500+ employees.
Ensure strict compliance with federal/state labour laws and internal policies.
Drive continuous improvements in HR systems, engagement surveys, and training.
Coordinate professional development and succession planning.
Lead internal investigations and uphold positive employee relations.
Report to the VP of Operations and collaborate with senior leadership.
MUST HAVE Qualifications:
U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
Minimum 15 years of HR experience, with at least 4–10 years in heavy manufacturing
At least 2 years in a Head of HR and/or HR Director role.
Experience managing non-unionized workforces of 500+ employees.
Proven stability in employment history (3–5 years per role).
Hands-on experience with HR systems, attrition management, hiring, and engagement strategies.
Prior experience managing 8–10 salaried team members.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 15 years of HR experience, with at least 4–10 years in heavy manufacturing.
At least 2 years in a Head of HR and/or HR Director role.

Additional Requirements:
Must pass a criminal background check (covering the last 3 employers or 5 years).
No serious felony convictions in the last 3–5 years (case-by-case consideration if older).
Drug screening is required within 24 hours of offer acceptance.
This is a strictly onsite role – remote work is not permitted.
Relocation Support:
Up to $10,000 reimbursement-based relocation bonus (receipts required).
Must sign a repayment agreement – if voluntarily leaving within 12 months, relocation costs must be repaid in full
